Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Dashboard Build to design, implement, and operate scalable build and deployment systems for secure, reliable software delivery. You will collaborate with product engineering and SRE teams to improve build health, velocity, accuracy and developer experience.

This remote role targets applicants in the United States, with emphasis on strengthening automation, security controls and compliance in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with Git/GitLab/GitHub.
• Hands-on with containers and build environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting in Shell, Groovy, Ruby or similar.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React toolchains.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and RSpec pipelines.
• Ability to work with security/compliance in regulated environments.
• Visa transfer or sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate build and deployment systems aligned to FedRAMP High and IL5 requirements, with a focus on scalability, availability, product quality and developer experience.
• Translate security and compliance requirements into practical engineering solutions, including access control, audit logging, secret management, vulnerability response and evidence collection.
• Partner with product engineering teams to monitor and maintain, build health, velocity and accuracy across development workflows.
• Collaborate with site reliability engineering teams to support the scalability, reliability and availability of building systems.
• Prevent, predict and respond to build-related issues while coordinating triage and remediation efforts across product teams.
