Job summary

Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin seeks a Budget Analyst V to lead budgeting and forecasting for the Branch. You will guide staff, develop schedules, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements while partnering with agencies and program areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience managing budgeting and forecasting practices and operations.
• Experience managing and providing leadership to professional staff.
• Experience with the State of Texas and Federal accounting, budgeting, and financial practices and operations.
• Experience in providing developing and analyzing financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Administers and leads the activities of the Branch and staff in budget-related functions.
• Develops schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals.
• Prepares and reviews performance measure reports, budget recommendations.
• Represents the Branch on internal and external workgroups and meetings.
