Job summary

Oregon Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Fiscal Analyst to lead budget evaluation and fiscal consultation for the Commerce & Compliance Division. You will coordinate budgets, monitor performance, and advise leadership on financial strategy.

Responsibilities include preparing forecasts, developing policies, and guiding managers on budget proposals to ensure fiscal discipline and alignment with agency goals.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible experience in budget or fiscal system analysis, including modeling and forecasting.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to management or decision makers.
• Understanding of governmental budgeting and finance and the fiscal analysis of legislation or administrative rule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement and monitor the CCD budget within fiscal constraints.
• Develop and maintain CCD fiscal policies, standards, processes and procedures.
• Coordinate budget policy option packages, reduction options and program narratives with recommendations.
• Maintain the MCSAP budget using agency tools and prepare quarterly/monthly financial reports.
• Guide branch managers in developing and justifying budget proposals and forecasts.
