The Senior Budget Analyst position within the Budget Office at the Federal Election Commission in Washington, DC oversees the formulation, justification, presentation and execution of the agency budget to ensure resources align with Commission priorities. This is a non-bargaining unit position.

The role acts as the agency's technical authority on budget matters, interprets OMB, Treasury, and Congressional guidance, and develops policies and guidance to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the formulation, justification, presentation and execution of the budget including planning and control of funds.
• Lead the FEC's budget development and execution activities, interprets Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Treasury, and Congressional guidance and appropriations law, Develop, recommend, and implement budget policies, procedures, and guidance that ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and directives.
• Lead quality control and oversight of payroll, time and attendance, and invoice processing performed by the Payroll Office.
