Job summary

Montana Department of Justice in Helena is seeking a Budget Analyst Supervisor to oversee budget operations and fiscal management for the Central Services Division. You will monitor budgets, ensure contracts stay within budget and regulatory constraints, and prepare comprehensive budget reports.

The role supervises Administrative Specialists and requires a bachelor’s degree with several years of budgeting and supervision experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or related field.
• Four years of directly related budgeting experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the budget and related fiscal operations to support program operations.
• Maintain budget systems, policies, and methods for programs to follow.
• Review development, monitoring, and management of contracts for goods and services to meet budget and regulatory constraints.
• File grant reports and prepare budget reports and documents.
• Supervise Administrative Specialists responsible for budgeting and fiscal management for the division.
