Job summary

The Colorado Judicial Department seeks a seasoned Budget Manager to oversee the preparation, allocation and expenditure of the department budget. You will supervise budget operations under the Director of Financial Services and collaborate with courts, probation offices and state agencies.

Responsibilities include developing annual budgets, defending operating costs, tracking expenditures, and coordinating with legislative staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, judicial or public administration; or related field.
• Five years of budgeting or general finance analyst work.
• Experience supervising budget operations or staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and execution of the annual operating budget.
• Develop budget policies, schedules and amendments.
• Coordinate with courts and probation offices on fiscal needs.
• Serve as main liaison on budget issues with legislative and governor’s staff.
• Monitor budget policies, procedures and year-end budgeting activities.
