Job summary

The Budget Analyst IV at the Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) will prepare and maintain the agency's annual operating budgets, forecast finance trends, and report on performance measures. You will assist with LAR development, fiscal notes, and operating plans, while coordinating with management and program staff.

You will analyze financial data, monitor funds, and prepare ad hoc reports. This role requires strong Excel skills, CAPPS/Cognos knowledge, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Preferred graduate from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting, finance, or business.
• Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Ability to prepare large data requests and reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop the annual operating budget process.
• Analyze budgets, revenues, and expenditures.
• Produce management reports and performance measures.
