Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin is seeking a Budget Analyst IV to perform advanced budget preparation, forecasting, and fiscal oversight for a multi‑million dollar program. You will evaluate expenditures, funding trends, and prepare critical reports supporting executive decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with MOF and SSA processes, and the ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience with state/federal budgeting, forecasting and financial data analysis.
• Ability to prepare and analyze MOF, SSA and CAPPS financial data.
• Proven accuracy in budget development and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and review state and federal budgets for the TX DDS operating budget.
• Prepare monthly obligation reports and quarterly/annual budget analyses.
• Analyze expenditures and cost drivers to support funding requests.
• Ensure timely submission of budget documents and fiscal notes.
• Provide guidance on financial planning and budget forecasting.
