Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) based in Austin, TX seeks a Budget Analyst III to support regional financial services. Under supervision, the Regional Financial Services Officer assists in budget development and monitoring, producing monthly financial reports, and ensuring proper use of funds across the region.

The role requires CAPPS Financials and Excel experience, strong numerical skills, and ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of agency payment policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of CAPPS Financials and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of regional operating budgets.
• Produce monthly budget and statistical reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Provide technical assistance on funds availability and budget procedures.
• Plan, assign, and supervise work as needed.
