The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Budget Analyst (GG-0560-14), to perform as the Senior Budget Analyst, working at the Secretary of the Air Force (SAF), Concepts, Development, & Management (CDM) Office, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. Duty Location will be within the National Capitol Region.
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for; you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
Salary ($143,913 - $187,093) based on experience.

In this position you will serve as the Senior Budget Analyst responsible for performing the total spectrum of programming, budgeting, execution, and review of the multi-year/multi-appropriation budget in support of the Capabilities Management Office. Serves as a principle contact on budget execution questions and issues. Responsible for performing work in all aspects of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycle for the Enterprise with primary responsibility in the Execution phase. Incumbent works in coordination with the Chief of Budget Execution in the preparation and presentation of the budget and as lead analyst for budget execution of the multi-year/multi-appropriations budget and varied reimbursable activities. Incumbent develops guidance, policies and procedures for execution of the budget, reports on budget execution, justifies and defends resource requirements, and reviews and interprets congressional language to determine impact on the execution of currently available funds, future appropriations and budget submissions.

This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a current “Top Secret” Security clearance with eligibility to gain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain Financial Management Level 3 certification requirements.
Mobility is a condition of employment. The incumbent must sign an Air Force-Wide mobility agreement.
The incumbent is required to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure upon appointment and will required to file annually.
This is a mission essential and key position and may not be vacated in time of emergency or mobilization. The incumbent must be removed from military recall status and may not become a member of the ready reserves.
This position requires at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
