Arundel Bank in Maryland seeks an experienced Senior BSA Analyst to lead daily and periodic BSA/AML monitoring, investigations, and regulatory reporting within the Risk Department. You will review alerts, conduct complex investigations, and ensure timely SARs/CTRs while guiding colleagues in best practices.

Candidates should bring 3–5 years of BSA/AML/OFAC experience, knowledge of CIP and due diligence, and familiarity with Nasdaq Verafin or Abrigo BAM.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of BSA/AML/OFAC compliance experience.
• Experience investigating alerts and preparing SARs/CTRs.
• Knowledge of BSA/AML/CFT, CIP, due diligence, beneficial ownership and OFAC.
• Proficiency with BSA/AML software and monitoring systems such as Nasdaq Verafin or Abrigo BAM.
• Strong investigative, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to protect confidential information.
• BSA/AML certification or ability to obtain; CAMS/CAFP preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; GED required.

Responsibilities

• Own daily and periodic administration of the Bank’s BSA/AML monitoring system, including alert review, case management, and reporting.
• Validate data and reconcile interfaces; review scenarios and parameters; test and document changes.
• Independently investigate complex alerts, referrals, relationships, and transaction patterns for suspicious activity.
• Prepare SARs and supporting narratives; decide on filing; file CTRs within required timeframes.
• Perform customer due diligence for moderate- and high-risk relationships and activities.
• Research OFAC matches; document dispositions; escalate true matches or prohibited activity.
• Provide BSA/AML guidance, training, and coaching to co-workers.
• Support risk assessments, audits, regulatory exams, and management reporting.
