Job summary

United Bank is seeking a Sr. BSA Specialist to assist the BSA Officer in complying with the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations. The role involves reviewing potential matches, documenting investigations, and coordinating with bank staff and law enforcement.

Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, SARs and CIP is essential. The candidate should possess a CAMS certification (or commit to earning within 12 months), excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Criminal Justice, Business or Finance.
Minimum 5 years of BSA experience or regulators experience.
CAMS Certification required or must be earned within 1 year.
Knowledge of BSA, OFAC, SARs, CIP, 314a, CDD, PEPs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Review potential matches to ensure transactions avoid SDN or sanctioned countries.
Document searches and resolutions.
Communicate with staff and law enforcement for relevant information.
Investigate potentially suspicious activity and prepare documentation.
Analyze cases using BSA knowledge to formulate clear conclusions.
Collaborate across data sources and analytical tools.
