Job summary

Dime Community Bank in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Senior BSA Analyst to assist the BSA Manager in administering the BSA/AML/OFAC program. The role involves independently analyzing complex financial transactions and recommending SAR filings when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the financial services industry, with at least three years in BSA/AML/OFAC compliance analysis and investigation.
• General understanding of BSA/AML and OFAC laws, regulations, and guidance.
• Experience analyzing alerts for high-risk customers including Alternative Investments, non-U.S./international businesses, and non-bank financial institutions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication and organizational skills.
• CAMS certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate the Transaction Monitoring system’s alerts for Low, Medium, and High-Risk accounts.
• Review and evaluate customer transactions from other Bank departments or referrals.
• Contact branches for additional information to explain unusual activity.
• Identify and refer potentially suspicious activity for further investigation.
• Prepare SARs and finalize investigation narratives with supporting documentation.
• Perform due diligence and analysis for high-risk customers as directed by the Senior BSA Manager.
• Conduct CIP quality assurance reviews and report issues to BSA Management.
• Perform CTR exemption reviews and QA of prepared CTRs.
• Maintain departmental policies and provide guidance and QA for BSA Analysts.
