Job summary

Globalwide Talent is seeking a Chief Engineer for Broadcast & Video Operations to join NASATV within the NASA Mary W. Jackson HQ.

The role entails hybrid work in Washington, DC and collaboration with the Broadcasting & Production Unit to manage system diagrams, equipment, and remote studio productions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in broadcast engineering, live/remote productions, and IP-based workflows, with familiarity of NASA standards and post-production tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience in broadcast engineering and live/remote production environments.
  • Experience with broadcast control rooms/trucks and live production equipment.
  • Knowledge of SMPTE standards, IP video, and transmission equipment.
  • Experience with NAS/Cloud storage workflows and post production software.
  • Familiarity with NASA standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system diagrams for all installs and projects.
  • Lead setup, operation, and strike of remote and studio broadcast productions.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and ensure hardware/software readiness.
  • Design, develop and implement future Broadcast AV systems with IT integration.
  • Coordinate with NASA IT and AV teams for security and network scanning.
