Fox News Media is seeking a Senior Staff Broadcast Network Engineer in New York to design, implement, and administer high-availability networks supporting live broadcast workflows. You will collaborate with broadcast teams to integrate solutions that meet real-time media requirements and scale across platforms.

The role requires 10+ years of experience with large networks, expertise in Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto gear, and a strong background in network analysis and remediation.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale mission-critical networks.
• Experience troubleshooting complex problems while delivering innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 – Professional Media Over Managed IP Networks standards.
• 10+ years working with large-scale networks.
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with network platforms such as Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto.
• Willingness and ability to teach and train others.

Responsibilities

• Architecture/Engineering responsibilities: Gather and assess current network configurations, identify risks, and propose alternatives.
• Design and implement new technologies to simplify the network while improving security and performance.
• Coordinate with SDN team to enable transport of live content over high-bandwidth IP networks.
• Manage projects and report progress to management and team members.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to test and integrate new technology.
