Job summary
Tennis Channel, part of Sinclair Broadcast Group, seeks a Senior Broadcast Operations Coordinator in Santa Monica to oversee the day-to-day broadcast workflows, playlist automation, and air server playback. You will monitor the on-air signal, coordinate with production teams, and ensure high-quality delivery during live broadcasts and fast channels.
Responsibilities include ingesting content, emergency troubleshooting, and training new hires under the BOC manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in broadcast operations, with HD/SD, ASI, J2K, Data IP Transmission, and IP video workflows.
- Strong understanding of SDI and digital signal flows; able to work under live-broadcast pressure.
- Knowledge of tennis scoring is a bonus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the on-air signal and ensure the highest quality delivery of content to viewers.
- Schedule on-air content as directed by programming/production.
- Accurately route and record content to the air server for playback.
- Perform thorough sync and fax checks with onsite personnel prior to live shows and events.
- Facilitate accurate insertion of commercial content during live broadcasts and server playback.
