Job summary

Tennis Channel is seeking a highly organized Coordinator, Channel Operations in Santa Monica to support the 24/7/365 operational execution and day-of-air integrity for FAST channels, including Tennis Channel 2 and PickleballTV. You will handle daily playlist prep, live tournament tracking, metadata accuracy, and ad cue-point verification.

This onsite role requires flexibility for overnights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays to align with international tennis coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operational experience in FAST, live streaming, broadcast playout, master control, traffic, or digital media operations.
• Ability to work dedicated overnight and early-morning shifts, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7/365 live sports environment, matching the global tennis calendar.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based playout automation platforms (e.g., Amagi CLOUDPORT or similar), broadcast CMS, or traffic scheduling systems.
• Live operations aptitude for handling live sports/breaking events, with runtimes, join-in-progress adjustments, and delay management.
• Familiarity with broadcast video file specs, closed captioning formats, SCTE-35 markers, EPG delivery, and content segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, review, maintain, and release accurate daily and multi-day channel playlists using cloud-based playout systems and traffic schedules.
• Coordinate playlist timing for live matches, studio wrap shows, encore telecasts, original programming, and promotional blocks.
• Monitor live-event dynamics and adjust playlists to maintain schedule integrity across time zones.
• Perform day-of-air programming adjustments and hot-swaps during breaking live coverage.
• Track intake, processing, metadata entry, and validation of assets ahead of transmission deadlines.
• Log incidents, triage playout issues, and escalate to Broadcast Ops, Engineering, and Platform Support.
• Maintain shift logs, run sheets, and handoffs to ensure continuity across tournament cycles.
• Adhere to SOPs for live event execution, emergency routing, and ad-break contingencies.
