Job summary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) seeks a Structural / Bridge Project Manager in Raleigh, NC to lead design of highway and pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, and related structures, with 10+ years of relevant experience.

You will manage multi-discipline teams, coordinate with DOTs and private clients, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while benefiting from AMT's employee-owned culture and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required; master's preferred.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of project and client management experience with significant project exposure.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong business development, planning, and client relations skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• Willingness to travel locally as needed.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical role on bridge or structural design projects.
• Plan, direct, and monitor mid-to-large multi-discipline projects.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing and meetings.
• Coordinate schematic, design development, and contractual document work sessions.
• Ensure deliverables meet standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through project development.
• Support QA/QC reviews of bridge plans.
• Mentor less experienced project managers.
• Maintain professional engineering registration.
