Job summary

Confidential Employer in Iowa seeks a senior bridge/structural engineer to lead projects from planning through completion. You will perform structural analysis, design calculations, detailing, and cost estimates while guiding engineering staff and coordinating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of bridge or structural engineering experience.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer and/or project manager for bridge projects from planning through completion.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, bridge detailing, and specification development.
• Develop bridge quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Review and check engineering calculations and design work for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate project tasks, assign work, and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.
• Apply strong technical judgment to solve complex bridge and structural engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
• Support client development, proposals, and project pursuits.
• Help ensure projects meet technical, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
