Job summary

Orionplacement in Iowa is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the planning, analysis, and design of bridge projects with meaningful community impact. You will serve as lead engineer or project manager, guiding engineering teams and coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of bridge or structural engineering experience.
• Strong bridge design and structural analysis experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead engineer and/or project manager for bridge projects from planning through completion.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, bridge detailing, and specification development.
• Develop bridge quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Review and check engineering calculations and design work for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate project tasks, assign work, and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.
• Apply strong technical judgment to solve complex bridge and structural engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
• Support client development, proposals, and project pursuits.
• Help ensure projects meet technical, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
