Job summary

Confidential Employer in Iowa seeks a senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead bridge projects from planning through completion on-site in Ankeny or Carroll. The role involves managing teams, performing structural analysis, and developing cost estimates as part of diverse infrastructure projects.

You will guide technical design, coordinate with clients and contractors, and contribute to pursuits and business development while ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of bridge or structural engineering experience.
• Strong bridge design and structural analysis experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead engineer and/or project manager for bridge projects from planning through completion.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, bridge detailing, and specification development.
• Develop bridge quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Review and check engineering calculations and design work for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate project tasks, assign work, and provide technical guidance to engineering staff.
• Apply strong technical judgment to solve complex bridge and structural engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
• Support client development, proposals, and project pursuits.
• Help ensure projects meet technical, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
