Job summary

A civil construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support inspection services for DOT projects in Baltimore. You will ensure compliance with project specifications and maintain records of inspections. Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least 4 years of inspection experience in civil projects, and knowledge of construction standards. Certifications in traffic control, concrete testing, and erosion control are desirable.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in civil or mechanical field inspection on transportation projects.
• Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and relevant construction testing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily site inspections for compliance with approved plans.
• Develop daily construction plans using client’s software.
• Evaluate contractor-issued change orders and claims.
