Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead bridge load rating and structural evaluation efforts across our national program.

You will perform load rating and analysis, mentor junior staff, and oversee technical deliverables for multiple projects. The role blends office analysis with field work, requiring hands-on modeling, QC/QA checks, and strong collaboration with clients to deliver safe, durable bridge solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of bridge load rating and structural evaluation experience; AASHTOWare Bridge Rating experience required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and Louisiana, or ability to obtain in six months.

Responsibilities

• Develop, check, and seal load ratings per AASHTO MBW and client specs; perform LRFR, LFR, and ASR ratings.
• Oversee day-to-day technical work of staff engineers; review calculations and reports; mentor staff toward PE licensure.
• Develop and maintain internal load rating procedures, templates, and QC/QA checklists for consistency across projects.
• Lead technical delivery of load rating projects and coordinate with project managers and clients on scope and deliverables.
