Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Senior Team Leader to play a key role in our East Greenwich, Rhode Island office. The role focuses on leadership of inspection teams, managing both field and office tasks, and liaising with clients and government agencies.

Local travel is required as part of a mix of office and fieldwork. The ideal candidate will have extensive bridge/ancillary structure inspection experience, a civil engineering degree, and a Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• A minimum of 12 years of bridge or ancillary structure inspection experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise above water and underwater bridge and ancillary inspections.
• Review, analyze and resolve field issues.
• Manage engineering projects of varying size and complexity in field or office per plans/specs.
• Perform complex inspection, access, coordination, and estimates in inspection projects.
• Produce and review detailed inspection reports for FHWA compliance.
• Lead inspection projects including proposal prep, budgets, schedules, quality, and profitability.
• Mentor field staff on inspections and techniques.
