Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. seeks a Senior Estimator for a national bridge fabrication operation in the Upper Midwest. You will own estimates for heavy civil and bridge projects, interpret drawings, specs and bid documents, and guide junior estimators while coordinating proposals across estimating, detailing, purchasing, and production.

The position supports leadership growth as the VP of Estimating retires in 5–7 years, with relocation assistance and a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years estimating/fabrication experience in heavy civil/bridge projects.
• Ability to interpret AWS, AREMA, AISC COSP, DOT documents.
• Strong Microsoft Office + MS Project capability.
• Analytical, persistent, multi‑tasking mindset.

Responsibilities

• Estimate heavy civil and bridge fabrication projects.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Estimate labour, materials, and subcontract costs.
• Lead bid reviews with senior leadership.
• Prepare change orders.
• Mentor junior estimators.
• Coordinate proposals across estimating, detailing, purchasing, and production.
