Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a Bridge Engineering Project Manager to lead design projects for NYSDOT, PANYNJ, NYCDOT and other NY agencies from our Melville or Manhattan offices.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering with New York State PE registration. NJ PE is a plus, a Master's degree is a plus, and 12+ years of bridge industry experience is required. Strong leadership and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• New York State PE required
• New Jersey PE is a plus
• Master's degree a plus
• 12+ years of experience working in the bridge industry
• Experience working in a team environment, providing technical direction to a design team on minor and major bridge projects

Responsibilities

• Managing medium to large design projects
• Maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure contractual obligations
• Coordinating with sub-consultants and clients
• Direct and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Willingness to check calculations and/or direct the design procedures of others to ensure that calculations are performed per AASHTO design standards or other requirements
