Job summary

Avenue Consultants in Taylorsville, UT is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead a growing team in transportation engineering. The role requires deep knowledge of bridge and wall design, and the applicant will act as an Engineer of Record for projects under their direction.

The candidate will oversee project management, business development, and regulatory compliance while driving strategic growth for the local office. PE/SE Utah licenses are required, with a minimum of 8 years in related work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering required.
• Professional Engineering license (PE) in Utah required.
• Structural Engineering license (SE) in Utah required.
• 8+ years of transportation engineering experience preferred.
• 2+ years in management or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers; provide guidance, mentoring, and professional development.
• Actively participate in hiring for new team members.
• Procure new contracts and maintain client relationships.
• Oversee structural engineering projects to schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as point of contact for clients and ensure satisfaction with services.
• Provide technical guidance on lateral structural engineering, including bridge and wall design.
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth of the local office.
