Job summary

Juneau Associates, Inc., P.C., a respected Professional Engineering firm, seeks an Illinois SE with 5 to 10 years of bridge design experience to serve as a Senior Bridge Engineer in its Edwardsville, Illinois, Office.

The Senior Bridge Engineer will lead technical teams on complex bridge design projects, perform advanced structural analysis, and supervise junior engineers while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on highway and transit projects.

Qualifications

• Illinois SE license required or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Minimum 10 years of bridge design experience on transportation projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills; ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical role on bridge design projects.
• Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects.
• Work on projects including various bridge types, box culverts and interchanges for highway and transit.
• Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects and supervise junior engineers.
• Engage in structural analysis of existing buildings and appurtenances.

Juneau Associates, Inc., P.C., a respected Professional Engineering firm, seeks an Illinois SE with 5 to 10 years of bridge design experience to serve as a Senior Bridge Engineer in its Edwardsville, Illinois, Office.

Job Responsibilities

• Senior Bridge Engineer to serve in a lead technical role on bridge design projects
• Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects
• Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable) box culvert, and interchange design for highway and transit projects
• Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks
• Work inside the industry doing structural analysis of existing buildings and appurtenances

Qualifications

• Illinois SE required or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
• 10 years of bridge design experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete Design
• Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
• Experience working with junior staff
• Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of highway bridges
• Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Strong organizational, listening and mentoring skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
