Job summary

LJB Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to lead design and delivery of transportation bridge projects. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with DOTs, and manage both design-bid-build and design-build efforts within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis and PE license.
• 10+ years of bridge/culvert design experience and DOT project exposure.
• Thorough knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and related bridge design standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge design tasks from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specs, cost estimates, and bid packages.
• Coordinate with DOTs, municipalities, and client managers.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design teams.
• Lead coordination meetings and monitor schedule and budget.
