Job summary

CTL Engineering in North Carolina seeks a Sr. Bridge Engineer to lead bridge design projects from conception to completion, ensuring safety, feasibility, and compliance with NCDOT standards.

You will analyze and design bridge structures, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil and transportation projects, leveraging practical problem solving and a client‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree (MSCE) preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NC is required.
• 10–15+ years of bridge engineering experience with NC DOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee bridge design and analysis projects per NCDOT requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design for various bridge types (new, widening, rehabilitations).
• Prepare and review reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Conduct field inspections and evaluate bridge conditions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
