Job summary

WSP USA in Reno, NV is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead structural engineering for transportation projects. You will guide design, QA/QC, and coordination with NDOT and other agencies, focusing on durable bridge structures and safety.

Responsibilities include project leadership, planning, and client liaison, with a goal to deliver high-quality infrastructure on schedule and within budget. NDOT experience and licensure are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering; MS preferred for bridge focus.
• 12+ years of post-education experience in structural design with emphasis on bridges.
• NDOT and Nevada agencies experience; transportation project experience.
• Engineering license is required.
• Seismic modeling, assessment, and design of bridge structures.
• Proficient with structural engineering principles and related software.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive leadership for the structural engineering discipline and ensure project deliverables meet standards.
• Assist in the management of transportation projects.
• Apply advanced techniques to identify improvements across bridge projects in various phases.
• Serve as project manager and supervise teams on major structures.
• Support growth and development of the structures team in Nevada.
• Ensure QA/QC and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
