Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC seeks a Senior Structural / Bridge Engineer in Towson/Baltimore MD to lead bridge design projects and supervise teams. Some fieldwork and local travel are expected.

Requirements include 10+ years in analysis and design of bridges, a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, and PE or EIT licensure. The role emphasizes client relations, QA/QC, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in analysis and design of new and rehabilitation structures.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a lead technical role on bridge or structural design projects.
• Planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of mid-to-large multi-discipline projects or medium sized bridge projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving a diverse project staff.
• Establishes client relations and is involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
• Conduct schematic, design development and contractual document work sessions in conjunction with PMs, Technical professionals, and other disciplines.
• Ensure project deliverables and supporting documentation are complete, understandable, conform to applicable and reasonable standards relative to their intended purposes, including client requirements.
• Responsible to coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
• Works with Business/Accounting Manager and the Discipline/Managing Director for project reviews.
• Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and completing reviews of bridge plans for projects.
• Responsible for execution of training and development for personnel and acts as a mentor/supervisor for less experienced Project Managers and maintains professional engineering registration.
