Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead bridge design and project delivery for CT and New England transportation projects. The preferred Rocky Hill, CT office, with consideration for Foxborough, Boston, Worcester, Manchester, and Albany offices.

You will manage DOT and local government bridge projects including replacements, rehabilitation, preservation, and load ratings while guiding a team of engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CT PE license or ability to become registered is commonly required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge design projects from concept through construction.
• Oversee technical design teams, ensuring compliance with AASHTO, DOT, and local standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage client relationships and drive project delivery, quality, and performance.
• Review and assist with structural calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Lead the mentoring and development of junior engineers, fostering technical and professional growth.
• Support proposal development and business growth through technical leadership.
