Job summary

Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc in Connecticut seeks a senior structural/bridge engineer to lead projects from concept through construction. You will guide technical teams, ensure compliance with AASHTO and CTDOT standards, and collaborate with project managers to ensure delivery and client satisfaction.

We expect 12–20 years of CT bridge experience, CT DOT familiarity, and proficiency in major design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in civil/structural engineering required.
• PE license in CT or ability to become registered preferred.
• 12–20 years of progressive structural/bridge experience in CTDOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge design projects from concept to construction.
• Oversee technical design teams, ensuring AASHTO/CTDOT compliance.
• Collaborate with PMs to manage client relationships and delivery.
• Review structural calculations, plans, specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop technical growth.
• Support proposals and drive business growth with technical leadership.
