Job summary

Parsons in Newark, NJ is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer SME to lead the design and review of bridge and structural elements for the Hudson Tunnel Project, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, provide field support, and contribute to QA and risk management. PE license and 10+ years of experience required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/structural engineering.
PE license required.
Minimum 10 years of bridge/structural experience.
Experience on large infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and review of bridge and structural components.
Advise on constructability, value engineering, and sustainability.
Review design documents, drawings, and specifications prepared by Engineer of Record and contractors.
Ensure integration of bridge designs with other project elements.
Provide technical support during construction, including oversight of bridge activities.
Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders related to bridge work.
Monitor milestones and ensure timely completion of bridge construction.
Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
