Position Overview

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking to hire a Senior Bridge Engineer (P.E./S.E.) to work as part of our structures group in a leadership role, focused on delivering bridge design packages for various clients and leading bridge-related business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Bridge Engineer will lead business development strategies for bridge projects and oversee the technical aspects of structural calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

Primary Duties include:

1. Providing leadership and strategic direction for business development related to structures and transportation, focusing on marketing and securing bridge projects.
2. Managing projects and programs related to structural engineering.
3. Mentoring junior staff such as PEs, EITs, interns, designers, and drafters.
4. Designing geometric layouts for single- and multi-span bridges.
5. Performing structural analysis and design for bridges and retaining walls.
6. Conducting seismic analyses for new and existing bridges.
7. Preparing structural reports, studies, and layout sheets.
8. Coordinating with geotechnical, roadway, and hydraulic engineers.
9. Developing specifications and cost estimates.
10. Reviewing shop drawings and submittals during construction.
11. Interacting with clients to guide project direction and ensure deliverable quality.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as lead/senior bridge engineer on transportation projects.
• Strong relationships with agency project managers and structural teams.
• Proven success in business development for bridge projects.
• P.E. licensure is required; S.E. licensure is preferred.
• 20-30 years of bridge engineering experience.
• Expertise with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
• Experience interpreting geotechnical reports and coordinating with geotechnical consultants.
• Proficiency in creating and reviewing construction documents.
• Excellent communication, planning, organizational skills, and leadership abilities.
• Passion for leading and mentoring others.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000 annually, based on experience.
