We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to support our Southwest Region located in Texas.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform/supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programs
• Perform/supervise load ratings on bridges of various types, sizes, and complexities
• Review calculations and design details developed by others
• Attend meetings with clients and other professionals and organizations
• Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints
• Review construction-related submittals
• Organize and maintain project files
• Supervise and mentor Structural EITs and Interns
• Assist with marketing bridge and structural design work

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master of Engineering (not required but preferred)
• Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.)
• 10+ years of engineering experience in bridge design
• TxDOT experience is strongly preferred
• Skilled in the use of OpenBridge Designer
• Technical expertise in layout & design of bridges and related highway structures
• Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures
• Knowledge of AASHTO and other pertinent bridge design specifications
• Familiarity with TxDOT bridge standards and design manuals is strongly preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
