Job summary

Benesch’s Raleigh office is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Bridge team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed North Carolina PE with at least 20 years of bridge design, load rating, and inspection experience.

You will lead a team of professionals delivering complex bridge projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and opportunities to mentor engineers, coordinate with NCDOT and municipalities, and drive project success from concept

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
PE license in North Carolina is required.
20+ years of bridge design, load rating and inspection experience.
Experience with ABC is a plus.
Experience with NCDOT and municipalities.

Responsibilities

Review contract documents and bridge design plans.
Coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items per NCDOT standards.
Prepare and review bridge load rating reports per NCDOT standards.
Plan and perform bridge and tunnel inspections to NBIS and NCDOT standards.
Lead designers and inspectors on bridge design, load rating and inspection projects.
Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control.
