Job summary

Popli Design Group is seeking a Manager, Bridge Design in New York City to lead the Transportation team and oversee multiple design groups. You will ensure contract plans and cost estimates meet quality standards and coordinate with clients on deliverables and schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Civil/Structural degree, and 15+ years of progressive bridge design experience, with strong leadership and communication skills. Base in NYC with some site visits.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in the field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead complete bridge design projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages the work flow of several design teams.
• Establishes goals and performance standards for staff.
• QCs the preparation of contract plans and specifications.
• QCs the preparation of construction cost estimates.
• QCs the review of construction submittals.
• Directly interacts with clients with regards to project deliverables, budgets and schedules.
• Participates in business development activities.
• Mentors lower-level staff.
