Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in New York is seeking a Bridges & Structures Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of highway, pedestrian, rail bridge, and culvert projects across NY and New England. You will manage projects from scoping through construction, mentor staff, and contribute to business development.

Ideal candidates hold a NY PE license, a civil/structural engineering degree (master's preferred), and 10+ years of bridge design/management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of bridge design/management experience required.
• NY PE license required (or through reciprocity).
• Established business network with New York State bridge owners (e.g., NYSDOT, NYS Thruway, Municipal clients).
• Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and Federal-Aid project delivery.
• Ability to manage bridge projects and lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet schedule, budget, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the success of the bridge projects under their management.
• Handle all aspects of a project lifecycle from identification, pursuit, contracting, design development and construction phase support.
• Business development including client marketing, proposal preparation, and attending relevant technical, professional, and political networking events.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to structural staff.
• Plan, organize, and supervise the work and workload of project staff.
• Monitor project costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet schedule and quality expectations.
