Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a self-motivated Complex Bridge Design Specialist to lead and manage bridge designs for infrastructure projects across the Western United States, including the Colorado River suspension structure.

The role requires extensive experience with plan, specification, and estimate packages and load rating expertise. You will mentor junior staff, solve technical problems, and steward solutions through delivery while ensuring on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; master's preferred.
• PE license required; SE certification preferred.
• 10+ years in bridge design with PM experience.
• Experience with DOTs and/or municipalities.
• Proficient in design, construction docs, and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review bridge designs and calculations for replacement/rehab projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote learning.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and provide design recommendations.
• Supervise staff as necessary and manage subcontractors.
