Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to mentor others.
  • Ability to lead client-facing projects and manage multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Manage the delivery of bridge design projects, ensuring high-quality, client-focused experience for agencies such as GDOT, as well as cities and counties throughout Georgia
  • Lead bridge design and production efforts for GDOT across all phases of development, including design, calculation checking, and in-depth technical review as needed
  • Develop unique, innovative solutions to complex bridge engineering challenges for active projects and pursuits
  • Serve as Client Service Manager for diverse clients including state departments of transportation and municipal agencies
  • Mentor junior staff, fostering technical growth and professional development
  • Collaborate with other B&N offices on pursuits, projects, and technical challenges
  • Manage transportation projects of varying complexity

As our Senior Bridge Design Engineer, lead transformative bridge design projects while at the forefront of solving our clients' most complex bridge challenges. In this pivotal role, you'll develop innovative solutions to complex bridge challenges, serve as a trusted client advisor, and mentor the next generation of bridge engineers. You'll combine deep technical expertise with client relationship management to deliver exceptional projects while driving business development efforts across the region and maintaining the highest standards of engineering excellence.

What You’ll Do

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure
  • 10+ years of bridge design experience
  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads software, Bentley Open Bridge Designer, MDX, AASHTOWare BrR and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive leader who empowers and elevates team members through mentorship and support
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
