Horner & Shifrin in St. Louis, MO is seeking a full-time Bridge Project Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our Structural Business Unit. You will lead and check bridge design tasks, coordinate with project teams, and contribute to drawings and cost estimates.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering, with a MS preferred, and a PE license in Missouri. The role requires travel to sites and strong communication skills; MicroStation experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license or ability to obtain; Missouri PE preferred.
• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred.
• Experience with bridge design and detailing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow Bridge Practice design standards and procedures as delegated by the Project Manager.
• Perform and check structural engineering calculations for bridges, retaining walls, and other infrastructure using standards.
• Assist in preparation and checking of structural construction drawings to meet firm and client requirements.
• Develop and check cost estimates.
• Prepare and contribute to reports and studies.
