Job summary

Modjeski and Masters is seeking a Professional Engineer with at least 5 years of bridge design experience to join our St. Louis, MO team. The role involves reviewing design calculations, performing structural analyses, and coordinating with project teams on IDOT/MoDOT projects. A PE license is required and SE is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of related bridge design experience.
• Valid Professional Engineer License (PE).
• SE is preferred.
• Experience with IDOT or MoDOT Projects required.

Responsibilities

• Review and check structural design calculations.
• Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using analysis software.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction service assignments.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings.
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStationetc.
• Correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
