Job summary

Kleinfelder, based in San Diego, seeks an experienced Senior Structural / Bridge Drafter. You will deliver 2D/3D design for bridge and civil projects, with emphasis on Caltrans procedures and plan production standards.

The role requires independent workflow, mentorship of junior staff, and collaboration with bridge and roadway engineers. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in drafting, strong knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, and related tools, and a track record of meeting tight project

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in 2D design and 3D modeling with ACAD, Revit, MicroStation, CadWorx, and Plant 3D.
• Experience with concrete, steel structures and multi-discipline projects is required.
• Technical Diploma in drafting design or equivalent is a must; Bachelor's or Associates degree is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electronic working plans and technical drawings that are in compliance with project standards and goals.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Establish and modify personal work processes according to industry guidelines and procedures.
• Work closely with design discipline lead/engineers and design team members to ensure design documents are completed according to deadlines.
• Mentor and assist junior CADD staff and provide technical drafting guidance.
