HX5 is seeking a Senior Boundary Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining network perimeter infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancers, and routing protocols, with emphasis on security and compliance.

The position requires 6+ years of general experience, 2+ years as a Boundary Engineer, and 2 years of managerial experience, along with direct work on F5, Palo Alto NGFW, and Web

Qualifications

• 6+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• 2+ years of direct experience as a Boundary Engineer.
• 2 years of managerial experience.
• Direct experience with F5 load balancer and Palo Alto NGFW.
• Experience with Web Proxies and OSI model/IP stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network perimeter infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP/OSPF/EIGRP routing.
• Plan and maintain firewall infrastructure.
• Monitor and improve network edge performance.
• Troubleshoot perimeter devices and resolve issues.
• Implement and enforce network security policies.
• Manage PKI infrastructure.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support apps and services.
• Document configurations and procedures.
• Mentor Junior and Mid Boundary Engineers.
