Executive Summary

HRUCKUS is seeking a Senior Boundary Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This mission‑critical role focuses on the design, implementation, and rigorous security of enterprise boundary and perimeter network infrastructure supporting national defense operations.

Position Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain network perimeter infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and edge network devices.
• Routing Protocol Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot advanced network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Firewall Operations: Plan, architect, configure, and maintain scalable firewall infrastructure.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance telemetry and identify architectural improvements at the network edge.
• Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot sophisticated network anomalies and provide rapid resolution for perimeter device faults.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce rigorous network security policies, manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and ensure strict compliance with federal and industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with extended IT engineering teams to support secure business applications and services.
• Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for all network configurations, edge policies, and operating procedures.

Required Skills

Desired Skills

• Have experience in assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cybersecurity compliance
• Have experience working within the National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM)
• Be familiar with Isolated Network security best practices
