Job summary

Mytra Robotics in Brisbane, CA seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to own challenging prototype builds, diagnose multi-domain failures, and drive improvements from bench learnings into better designs. You will work across mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces, documenting findings and mentoring teammates.

Expect to handle evolving instructions, tackle quality issues, and collaborate with Design Engineering to improve manufacturability and serviceability of prototype bots and assets

Qualifications

• Deep, proven experience with electro-mechanical hardware in prototype environments.
• Ability to read and navigate drawings and 3D models, and understand tolerances.
• Structured root-cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces.
• Strong wire soldering, connector crimping, cable management, and schematic reading.
• Translate bench findings into clear design feedback and durable docs.
• Thrives with changing priorities and re-sequencing work as needed.
• Communicates clearly, mentors peers, and highlights risks early.
• Works comfortably in an industrial environment with PPE and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mechanical assembly, wire harness build-up, and rework of complex prototypes.
• Diagnose non-routine multi-domain failures; perform root-cause analysis.
• Translate findings into actionable design feedback for easier assembly and serviceability.
• Produce technical documentation and work instructions for repeatable builds.
• Lead validation and bring-up on bot hardware with limited oversight.
• Fabricate/modify parts using shop tools to support builds.
• Mentor junior technicians and raise build quality across the team.
