Job summary

Mytra is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join the Bot Prototype team in Brisbane, CA. You will help assemble bots, subassemblies, and test assets from drawings and BOMs, while learning under senior technicians and engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on build work, attention to detail, and steady growth into more responsible tasks. You will work with basic tools, follow established procedures, log measurements, and support validation and bring-up activities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical work experience through jobs, trades, or projects.
• Comfort with hand tools and eager to learn assembly, harnessing, and shop-tool fundamentals.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, procedures, and instructions; ask questions when unclear.
• Strong communication; provide updates and raise issues early.
• Experience in an industrial environment with PPE and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical assembly and wire harness build-up on bots, subassemblies, and test assets from drawings and BOMs.
• Perform build and rework tasks using established procedures with fasteners, torque, and basic soldering under guidance.
• Identify and report build issues clearly and promptly to enable diagnosing and resolving.
• Record build logs, measurements, and results in the ticketing system.
• Use hand and shop tools to cut, modify, and rework parts under supervision.
• Support validation and bring-up tasks under engineer or senior-technician direction.
• Help keep the lab and shop safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked.
