Job summary

Balanced Bookkeeping & Advisory Services in Ohio is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join a growing team. You will manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, perform reconciliations, and prepare financial statements using QuickBooks Online while staying connected with a remote team.

This locally based, hybrid role requires living within driving distance of Troy/Dayton. You'll work from home most days, with occasional in-person client meetings, a 35–40 hour week, and benefits like a 401(k)

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (not just Desktop).
• Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statements.
• Ability to recognize when something doesn't look right and investigate why.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable working from home while staying connected with your team.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, with the support of our team.
• Handle bank and credit card reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Review financial statements, spot discrepancies, and figure out how to fix them.
• Keep client accounts accurate, organized, and up to date using QuickBooks Online.
• Communicate with clients, answer questions, and follow up on needed information.
• Balance multiple deadlines and shift gears as client needs change.
• Occasionally help clients learn their way around QuickBooks Online.
